Northwestern Girls basketball will play Eisenhower at Mercyhurst University on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 starting at 6:00 PM.

On February 13th, Madalyn Prenatt performed in the District 2 Jazz Band Festival. Madalyn auditioned in the fall for her spot in the ensemble and represented Northwestern well as we added this additional festival for our music students!

News from Northwestern High School---The principal’s cabinet, administration and teachers have selected our group of #PAWSForward winners for the month of February.
The students who are voted on in each grade represent one or many of the four PAWSForward traits. These traits include the following:
(P) for (positive) and respectful to teachers and classmates
(A) for (Active) in clubs and activities
(W) for (Willing) to go above and beyond to help others
(S) for (Strong) in mind and motivation.
The four selected students for February are as follows:
9th Grade: Layne Feltenberger- Positive: nominated by Mrs. Shipton
10th Grade: Michael Black- All of the traits: nominated by Mr. Petty
11th Grade: Apryl Wright- All of the traits but especially positive: nominated by Ms. Campbell
12th Grade: Arla Wadsworth- Positive, Active and Strong-minded nominated by Mr. Petty

Last week Dylan McNeish was sworn in as a junior supervisor for Elk Creek Township. Dylan is a junior at Northwestern HS, a member of the National Honor Society, and the Albion FFA.
Northwestern High School students continue to lead and make impacts in their school community. Go Cats!


After completing registration and fingerprinting, students made their way via a hand scan and lasers to Headquarters - where they were inducted in the CIA - Classroom Investigation Agency. 🕵🏻
Agents tested their skills through a series of math and literacy based missions to collect evidence to unlock where Agent 99 was keeping Zero the Hero.
At the end of the day, students were able to work as a team and decode the secret message and help rescue Zero! And, as a thank you - agents were awarded a special spy kit!! Check out their day of top secret fun at the link below.
