Our Life Skills students and staff search for ideas to do in wood shop. Their most recent project was creating a highland cow. The students each cut, painted, and attached the parts themselves to create the art!

Let's give a warm Northwestern community send-off and well wishes to this group of students as they head to Slippery Rock today. They will be attending the SRU World Languages & Cultures Competition. These students have been preparing under the guidance of German and French teacher Ms. Carrie Soerensen. Best of luck to this team of Northwestern Wildcats!

Last Friday, seventh grade students experienced a long-standing tradition spearheaded by Mr. Mihalak. They traveled to the Albion Borough Park to explore the local watershed and reinforce their classroom lessons with a cross-curricular, hands-on experience. The 24-year old tradtion never gets old, as new findings are always uncovered during this field trip.

Mrs. Thiem’s Humanities classes visited downtown Erie today to see local examples of Italianate, Richardson Romanesque, Tudor Revival, Classic Greek, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival architecture. They are pictured here at the entrance to The Church of the Covenant, an excellent example of Gothic Revival architecture. According to junior Hannah Adams and senior Kyra Schwartz, the Curtze-Watson Mansion is an eight, but Gannon’s Old Main is a solid ten!
