Northwestern School District is currently seeking applications for the position of Business Manager-12 month position. Enrollment 1,220 with budget of $26.6 million. Bachelor’s Degree in business management, accounting, finance or a related field is required. Experience and/or graduate degree or significant coursework in PA public school finance together with at least three (3) years of relevant experience with business and administrative functions is preferred. Responsible for planning and managing the daily financial affairs and risk management of the school district, monitoring the overall financial state of the District, and managing the accounting system and procedures to ensure accurate information is readily available to make sound financial decisions. Administration of district finances includes budget preparation, fiscal planning and analysis, PDE state and federal financial reporting, payroll, accounting, employee benefits, insurances, investments, debt service and bond issuance, and business office functions. Must possess leadership skills, demonstrate professional ethics and interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to relate well to administrators, school board, staff and public. Vacancy-High School Agriculture Education Teacher
Position available beginning with the 2024-2025 SY
PA Certification(s): Agriculture
The position will include teaching 9th-12th grade students in the areas of food, fiber, environmental and resource systems. Candidate should be versed in all areas of agriculture including, but not limited to, animal science, forestry, horticulture, food production, mechanics, welding, marketing and technology in all above areas. FFA and SAE are integral parts of this position and will require hours outside of the traditional school day including meetings, training teams and project supervision.
The program has three (3) teachers, the candidate will share classroom and lab areas, and will work closely with the technology/industrial arts teacher. Experience in the areas of maple production, grant writing and small gas engine is not required, but a plus.
