How to Become a Volunteer

Volunteer Checklist (Policy 916 AR-4)-Clearances needed are listed below for individuals volunteering on a regular basis.

  ***Effective January 2023, volunteers who are renewing or obtaining a new FBI clearance must use the DHS (Department of Human Services) service code. The service code is 1KG6ZJ.  Questions can be directed to DHS directly at 877-371-5422 or email RA-PWCPSL Questions

Please register for an appointment in one of the following ways:

Disclosure Statement for Volunteers - complete this form if you plan to volunteer as a single-day field trip chaperone, dance chaperone, etc. ) The Disclosure Statement replaces the fingerprint check for those who have lived in PA for ten (10) consecutive years. Please note: Completion of this form is NOT applicable to volunteer coaches or overnight chaperones.

PDE 6004 Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24 of 2011 & Act 82 of 2012) 

Guest Volunteer (Class A) - an adult who voluntarily provides a service to the district, without compensation, who: (1) works directly under the supervision and direction of a school administrator, a teacher or other member of the school staff; and (2) does not have direct volunteer contact. Examples include, but are not limited to, volunteering to assist in classroom celebrations, school assemblies, or school concerts; reading to students; collecting tickets at sporting events; working concession stands; participating in "Career Day," etc.

Guest Volunteers must complete and submit the Class A Volunteer Affirmation Statement to the appropriate building office.

Volunteer Reimbursement Form-This form is for one-time reimbursement for those that are required to obtain the Act 114 FBI Fingerprint clearance.
