It's Music in Our Schools Month!
This is a month to celebrate the power of music and to reflect on the community we all build together through music. Last weekend, Northwestern hosted Region II Band, bringing students from 50 schools to perform and audition for the opportunity to participate in All-State Band in April. Northwestern had four students perform in the festival and Bryce Burtt earned first chair on Alto 2 for the festival!
This past weekend, we celebrated our young band musicians at Band Fest hosted by Strong Vincent Middle School. Students from 5th and 6th grade bands across the region rehearsed together for one day to be able to perform a concert for family and friends. It has been a great month of music making!
