Springfield Elementary had an AMAZING time at their first-ever Night at the Museum! Students in grades K–3 created projects connected to topics they explored through our new CKLA reading curriculum this year. With guidance from their teachers, students selected subjects that sparked their interest and that they wanted to learn more about. At home, they worked hard to create unique displays showcasing their learning.

During the event, our 3rd graders had the special opportunity to share and discuss their projects face-to-face with museum guests, bringing their learning to life in a meaningful way. Projects from the other grades were displayed throughout our themed wings: the Global Exploration Gallery, American History Atrium, Library of Literature, and Science Solarium.

We were also fortunate to welcome an incredible group of community partners who sponsored our wings and created engaging experiences for our students in the gym. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Penn West Edinboro History Club, Hagen History Center, Gannon Literature Department, Mercyhurst Science Department, Mercyhurst Education Department, Penn West Edinboro PSEA, Werner Books, and the Erie County Public Library and we look forward to continuing to partner with them for this event in the future!

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our students. We can’t wait to make this event even bigger and better next year!
