About 20 students and teachers joined together for a bean bag cornhole tournament after school on Feb 18.

Sixth-graders Ken Jarvis and Jay Kelley won the tournament. Runners-up were eighth-grade math teacher Laurie Fobes and her student teacher Kelsey Matuszak.

Middle school student council sponsored the event. There was a $4 entry fee per team to play, and the winning team got to split the money.

“It’s something fun to do after school while it’s still cold outside,” student council adviser Kristy Johnson said.

Middle school student council meets every Tuesday during lunch and has 30 members. Student council puts on two to three fun nights and two dances each year.
