Northwestern School District and The Nutrition Group are offering free afterschool meals to school-age children in the community.

“The dinner program is the only one of its kind in this area that the Nutrition Group runs,” said Heather Brady FSD, of The Nutrition Group.

The program is open to students in grades pre-K through twelfth, who were 18 years of age or younger at the start of the school year.

Dinner is served from 3 to 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Northwestern High School cafeteria.

Entrees include fiestada pizza, chicken sandwich, Italian hoagie, cheeseburger and more, and sides and drinks are offered.
