The Northwestern AmeriCorps members are planning the Northwestern School District’s first annual “Spring into Action” event from 8 a.m. to noon on April 9 – and we need your help!
“Spring into Action” is a day of service in our community. We will be doing jobs like picking up trash, raking, painting and more.
We are recruiting as many volunteers as possible, both children and adults, to help at several locations in the school district.
To add some excitement, we will compete against three other county districts – Girard, Fairview and North East – to log the most hours. Last year, Girard gathered more than 300 volunteers.
The locations where you can serve are: the Project N.E.E.D. House in Albion, Albion Borough Park, Springfield Bicentennial Park and the Northwestern School District campus (Albion and Springfield).
Students, parents and community members are asked to register using the attached form by this Friday, March 25. Any number of hours anyone can contribute is helpful. Once registered, you will be sent a reminder with the event information on it.
Working together, we can accomplish so much.
In each school, the class, organization, team or club that logs the most hours will be recognized and rewarded.
Everyone – students, community members, alumni – is asked to sign up! If you have questions, please call the school at 756-9400. Ask for AmeriCorps members Erica Revak (firstname.lastname@example.org) at NWE, Zara Ostrander (email@example.com) at Springfield or April Hannah (firstname.lastname@example.org) at NHS.
Thank you, and we hope to see you on April 9! The registration form can be found here:
