The Northwestern Middle School drama club will present "Seussical Jr." this weekend.

"I like all the costumes, the colors, putting it all together, and seeing it become what it is," said seventh-grader Anthony Valletta, who plays famed Seuss character "Horton."

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Northwestern High School auditorium. Cost is $5 for adults and students and $4 for senior citizens.

Attendees can bring donations of food, toys or new clothing for the "Toys for Cats" holiday drive to any performance.

More than 50 middle school drama club members and high school helpers have been working for months on the production, which includes a vibrant set and costumes.
