The middle school held a food drive to benefit the Northwestern Food Pantry in November. Collectively, $327.38 was raised, which was equal to $5,565.46 worth of food for the food pantry. 341 food items were also collected.
Lee Alexander's sixth-grade homeroom won a doughnut party by collecting the most donations. Alexander gave his students a little extra motivation, and told them if they won he would shave his hair into a Mohawk.
On Nov. 23, Alexander got a new hairdo. And the Northwestern Food Pantry got a generous and spirited donation from the Wildcats.
