Future Business Leaders of America

Northwestern's chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America celebrates a very successful year.  Back in December the group participated in the regional competition.  The results are shared below.

  • Brooke Edwards, First Place in Agribusiness
  • Cassie Porter, First Place in Healthcare Administration
  • Sara Spirito, First Place in Impromptu Speaking
  • Elizabeth Miller, First Place in Introduction to Business
  • Christie Sawin, Second Place in Introduction to Financial Math
  • Charlie LaPlaca and Nathan Little (Team Competition), First Place in Marketing
  • Tehya Thorpe, First Place in Organizational Leadership
  • Taylor Morini, Third Place in Personal Finance
  • Bridget Krome, Second Place in Personal Finance
  • Rebekka Ryan, Third Place in Business Communication
  • Courtney Ring and John Wheeler (Team Competition), First Place in Emerging Business Issues
  • Maddy Soder, First Place in Insurance and Risk Management
  • Abby Hancox, First Place in Introduction to Business Communication
Also placing at the regional competition were Joetta Casey, Alyson Sustarich and Ellie Prichard, achieving second place in Entrepreneurship

The Wildcats had 17 students advance to the state competition which was held in Hershey earlier this week.  These students and their advisor, Mrs. Barb Miller devoted many hours to not only studying for States, but they also successfully planned and completed numerous fundraisers to cover the cost of the trip to Hershey.  Congratulations to all of you on a job well done!
