GREAT things happen when grade levels work together on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)!

Three fourth graders from Mrs. Frazier's/Mrs. Verga's classroom came to work with Mrs. Porter's first graders on STEAM projects on Wednesday, Feb. 7.  The fourth graders introduced themselves and the first graders were split into two teams to work on their STEAM projects.  Audrina worked with the Engineering and Art parts of STEAM as she helped the students to create bags with given materials that would be able to hold several packs of crayons.  Nicole worked with the Technology and Math parts of STEAM as she showed the students how to use Scratch to play her Math games and to create their own games.  Brooke, another fourth grader, was available as an assistant to both groups.  The first graders had a GREAT time working with the fourth graders on their STEAM projects and are hoping to be able to do this more often!
