Albion fair, library to give children prizes for reading

posted Aug 23, 2016, 1:12 PM by Courtney Fobes ‎(Marketing & PR)‎

The Albion Area Fair is partnering with the Albion Area Public Library, encouraging children to read this summer. And for reading, children will be rewarded with prizes at the 2016 Albion Area Fair.

Any student going into kindergarten through fifth grade is asked to read 10 books from the Albion Area Public Library during the month of August.

After reading 10 books, the students receive a “Red and Win – Come to the Fair” ribbon provided by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions and the Albion Area Fair Association.

Attached to the back of the ribbon are instructions to take the ribbon to the lower fair office during the fair week, from Sept. 13 to Sept. 17, where readers will receive one coupon or prize.

Coupons have been donated by Larry’s Tater Shack, Ross Pizza, Ross Elephant Ear, Fowlers and Liskos Rides.

The library hours are Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
