In the town of Conneautville, Pennsylvania there is Boy Scout Troop 210.  Under the direction of Eugene J. Bocan, the troop currently has at least 20 members.  Boy Scout Troop 210 is part of Washington Trail District which is a portion of the French Creek Council: Pennsylvania and Ohio.  The boys' have a event usually planned out for every month.  The troop is considered a "boy led" troop... this was one of the founders main principles.  Scouting is ran by the Patrol Leaders' Council of boys which are overseen by the Scoutmasters.

We meet weekly every Tuesday Night in the Valley United Methodist Church at 7:00pm.  If you are interested in Scouting at all, please feel free to attend a meeting or contact us using the information provided below.  Scouting is a family event and we encourage all scouts and parents to actively work in the troop.

Our Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scouting is a values-based program with its own code of conduct.  The Scout Oath and Law help instill the values of good conduct and honesty.  A boy who spends at least one year in our troop will learn lifetime skills.  He will learn basic outdoor skills, first aid, citizenship training, leadership skills, self-reliance, teambuilding, and many other fundamentals on the trail to the distinctive Eagle Badge.  Scouting will help him to live a more productive and fulfilling life.

- But the real way to happiness is by giving out happiness to other people.  Try and leave this world a little better than you found it and when it comes to die you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best.  "Be Prepared" in this way to live happy and die happy - stick to your Scout Promise always - even after you have ceased to be a boy - and God help you do it.

"Lord Robert Baden-Powell"   - Founder of Scouting

Methods of Scouting

The Boy Scouts of America uses eight fundamental methods to meet boys' hope for fun and adventure, and to achieve Scouting's aims of encouraging character, development, citizenship, and mental and physical fitness.  A Scout troop functions when all eight methods are employed.

The 8 Methods of Scouting

(1) The ideals
(2) The patrol method
(3) The outdoors
(4) Advancement
(5) Association with adults
(6) Personal growth
(7) Leadership development
(8) The uniform
